We had a fabulous time at the Opening Reception for our First Day of Spring show last Friday - Thank you to everyone who came, and to Erin and Sara for speaking!
If you missed the event, we have a video of Erin McIntosh speaking about her approaches to painting, artistic influences, and career:
The video was shot by Erin's boyfriend, Ian McFarlane, a very talented Athens-based photographer.

Hailey Lowe art at GIFA!
We are so excited to be representing one of our very own, Hailey Lowe! Many of you know Hailey from her days here at GIFA. You may have even heard that Hailey is also an artist - and a fabulous one at that! While working at GIFA Hailey attended SCAD, and recently graduated from their Sculpture program. Not only is she a great sculpture artist, Hailey is also a very talented painter.
Here is what she's been up to lately! :

Alicia Chatham in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles!
You may recognize this beautiful vignette from February's issue of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. Michael Boyd, of SmithBoyd Interiors, selected this Alicia Chatham painting for a room he recently designed for AH&L. We love Michael's choice of color and placement! For more inspirational placements, check out our Look Book!
"Gray's Lane" interviews GIFA artist Reagan Geschardt!
One of our favorite magazines, Gray's Lane, recently interviewed GIFA artist Reagan Geschardt and covered everything from new business prospects, friendly family competition, inspiration and of course... art!
The article featured some stunning placements of paintings from both Reagan and her husband Danny:

We are thrilled to represent both Reagan and Danny. For those of you not yet familiar with this talented duo, we suggest reading the full interview, very appropriately titled "A Colorful Life." Enjoy!

Erin McIntosh's work at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport!
For those of you heading off to spring break in the next few days, be sure to check out Erin McIntosh's work at Hartsfield-Jackson! Erin's paintings will be featured alongside work from a few other of Atlanta's top talent in the E-merge exhibit, running from January 2013 - January 2014. This exhibit, which will be held in the T-Concourse, is a survey of Atlanta contemporary artists conceived and curated by Hope Cohn for the Art Program at Atlanta's international airport. Way to go, Erin!!!
Erin has been busy painting for our upcoming show, "First Day of Spring," a two-person exhibit, alongside artist Sara Cameli. The show will run from March 20th through April 6, 2013. Despite all this unseasonably cold weather, we're hopeful that by mid-March things will have warmed up a bit!
Here is a first look at a couple of Erin's pieces that will be in the show:
Enjoy spring break, and see you soon!
