Home Depot Design & Trend Director and GIFA Client, Sarah Fishburne, is Featured in This Week's AJC Homefinder

Longtime GIFA client and Director of Trend and Design for the Home Depot, Sarah Fishburne, recently redecorated her classic brownstone from top to bottom, and is this week's "Private Quarters" feature in the AJC Homefinder!

In 2011, Sarah moved out of her Buckhead condo and into the 3,000 square foot brownstone. The increase in space gave Sarah a much bigger canvas to work with, and she met this challenge by introducing old and new pieces, original art, and a few custom touches.

*Sarah's design tip*: Invest in original art. Her collection of artwork includes watercolors and acrylics by emerging Southeast painters such as Sally Powell, Erin McIntosh, Eileen Power, and Lulie Wallace.  Encouraged by her mentor to collect pieces with a story, Sarah's home is decorated with items she has collected throughout her life - "I don't think things need to match, if you like them and are drawn to them, it seems to come together" - great advice, Sarah!

Here are just a few interior shots of Sarah's stunning residence:

Sarah's favorite design features are the deep navy walls in her dining room

Finishing touches: The master redecoration was complete when Sarah found the Sally Powell series (on wall above bed)

Sarah's mantle decor is subtle yet elegant, and features still life paintings from Erin Gregory and Lullie Wallace. Framed on the wall are a collection of works on paper by GIFA artist Erin McIntosh.
